Wing Commander Abhinandan Awarded Received Vir Chakra on 15 August 2019
Abhinandan was born on 21 June 1983. Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman of the Indian Air Force conferred the Vir Chakra on 15 August 2019 Independence Day. Abhinandan Varthaman became the face of a military confrontation between India and Pakistan on February 27, 2019, when he was captured after an aerial battle between the two countries, and returned to India on 1 March 2019.
