Pranab Mukherjee was an Indian politician who, from 2012 to 2017, served as the 13th President of India. He was conferred with Bharat Ratna on 08 August 2019, he was honored by the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. Pranab Mukherjee was born on 11 December 1935. Pranab Mukherjee got a break in politics in 1969 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi helped him get elected to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's Parliament, on a Congress ticket.
